Site Investigation

Using a hand auger, we will investigate both the soil and groundwater, assessing whether or not they have been contaminated by the fuel oil release. In order to investigate if your homeowner's insurance company will cover the remediation costs, we will need to determine if your tank has impacted a 3rd party (off site, i.e. a neighbor's land or groundwater, which is owned by the state of New Jersey). Sampling will take place in the former tank location and along the property boundary. If we were contracted by your homeowner's insurance, this will be completed at no cost to you.

If you have been denied by your homeowner's insurance already, we may be able to find evidence which may change their coverage determination. This is typically done through forensic analysis of either the soil or the actual tank. Please have the tank left on your property; we will need to inspect it.
