Groundwater Sampling
A field technician will come to the site with hand held equipment to collect groundwater samples from the monitoring well. Two consecutive clean groundwater samples are required to prove that the remediation was successfully able to eliminate contaminant impacts to the groundwater. The first sampling event must take place at least 14 days after monitoring well installation. If the first sample is clean, the second sample must take place at least 30 days after the first sampling event. If there should be any residual groundwater contamination, the water can be flushed out using a pump truck, and sampling can begin again.
